In my view, Adams Heating and Air has the best trained, experienced, polite and respectful HVAC techs and customer service people in Charlotte. In 2019, they installed a new 2 ton Trane XL16i heat pump for upstairs, and a Trane gas furnace and a 3 ton XL16i air conditioner for downstairs. Trane at the time used the same model number for both a heat pump and an AC unit. I also purchased an optional 10 year full LABOR cost warranty for each system. This warranty purchase proved to be worth it's cost, as over the years, there were some significant problems with the heat pump, including needing the evaporator in the air handler replaced. However, each time Adams diagnosed the problem, installed any needed parts, and there was no charge for parts or labor because of the warranty. They always provide an estimate of the cost before doing any work, and afterwards describe in detail in writing what they found and what they did to fix things. I was careful to keep a copy of the purchase Invoice to show the techs that I had a full labor warranty. A 10 year parts warranty is usual with Trane. Recently, Adams found that I needed to have a TXV valve on the heat pump replaced, as the heat pump would not run. Once again, there was no charge for parts or labor because of the optional extended labor warranty I purchased.
I tell the customer service people about the labor warranty if I call for non-routine service.

I have always purchased a yearly maintenance contract with Adams. When Adams performs the fall and spring maintenance, they provide detailed reports of the pressures, amps, capacitor outputs, etc, which I find exceptional and very useful.

When I lived in a different house in Charlotte, I had a different company install and service a new furnace and air conditioner. That company would send inexperienced techs, who admitted they were getting trained on the phone while they were at my house for what to check.

I recommended Adams Heating and Air to my neighbor, and they told me Adams is the best contractor they have ever worked with. I agree with them.
